Plastic Soup Foundation (Amsterdam) works on the health effects of plastic, from microplastics in blood to the Plastic Health Coalition it convenes, and has taken legal action against new petrochemical capacity (INEOS Project One, Antwerp). It also runs public campaigns and the PlasticFreeFuture app.
It holds charity status as a Dutch public benefit organisation (ANBI) (RSIN 850288885) and is certified by the Dutch Central Bureau on Fundraising (CBF); the CBF listing (cbf.nl/organisaties/plastic-soup-foundation) shows 2025 spending of about EUR 1.02 million with a small negative reserve, so it is a lean organisation that relies on regular donors. Honest caveat: there is no volunteer programme page in 2026, only a paid internship, so money is the practical way to help. The separate Plastic Health Council website was offline when we checked.
How to start: act.plasticsoupfoundation.org/donate Dutch taxpayers can deduct gifts.
