Queensland's scheme refunds 10 cents on drink containers of 150 mL to 3 L, and was the first state to include wine and spirit bottles (November 2023). Plain milk is still excluded.

What happens: material is baled and sold through Container Exchange's online auction to accredited recyclers; the site does not name buyers or end products. The scheme is run by COEX, a not-for-profit funded by beverage companies.
