Boomerang Bags began on the Gold Coast and spread to hundreds of communities that meet to sew reusable bags from donated fabric and give them away at shops. You can join a group, donate fabric, or start one with the free guide.

Honest caveat: the website's copyright notice still reads 2022 and there is no 2025 to 2026 news, so check that your local group is still active before relying on it; many run through Facebook. No charity status is stated.
