The Northern Territory (NT) scheme refunds 10 cents per container and, from 1 July 2026, covers every beverage container up to 3 litres, with a labelling grace period to 2028 for wine and spirits. Depots such as Envirobank (envirobank.com.au/bottle-and-can-recycling-northern-territory/) pay refunds.

Honest caveat: the NT Government's scheme pages blocked our automated check, so the post-launch detail of the July 2026 expansion is confirmed only through depot operators and industry notices. The Territory has no local reprocessing; material is transported interstate or exported.
