Curby gives residents in participating councils a tagged bag for soft plastics that is pulled out at the sorting facility and sent to iQRenew's SPEC plant on the Central Coast, where it becomes sorted feedstock (Australia Post's recycled-content satchel is one product). Soft Plastics Stewardship Australia (SPSA) also runs commercial kerbside pilots in nine councils in New South Wales (NSW), Victoria and South Australia (SA) since July 2025.

Honest caveat: only a handful of NSW councils are live; the curby.com.au domain failed our check and the working site is curbyit.com. Free where your council funds it.
