Boomerang Alliance is the coalition that won container deposit schemes in most Australian states and now pushes mandatory extended producer responsibility for packaging, a producer-funded soft-plastics scheme and reuse laws for takeaway (it calls 2026 the 'Year of Change'). It also runs Plastic Free Places for businesses.

Honest caveat: as of September 2026 its site prints no Australian Business Number, Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) or tax-deductibility statement and the donate link opens a pop-up rather than a page, so check the ACNC register before assuming a gift is deductible. Its campaigns are a good use of your voice even if you do not give money.

How to start: boomerangalliance.org.au/ (donate button and current actions).
