Trash Academy (La Academia de Basura) is 5 Gyres' YouTube series for upper primary and secondary: 8 episodes in season one and 13 in season two, in English and Spanish, covering microplastics, gyres and solutions. TrashBlitz is their community-science app for logging litter by brand and type, which feeds real research such as the brand audits behind the finding that 56 companies produce more than half of branded plastic litter.
